i love that hint of sarcasm.
when toni gonzaga was building up the suspense as both Dionne and Zeke were the remaining unsafe housemates, toni requested for Dionne and Zeke to hold hands as this may be the last time they will spend in Big Brother’s house.
“sweet”, chirped Dionne.
i wonder if the rest of the world noted that sarcasm in her voice. she obviously knew and put two and two together that Big Bro has played her up and turned her sweetness 360 degrees into something more controversial than her affectionate self. at that precise moment, she was wary that even at the last minute they were making her look like she’s latching on to him for dear life!
the tone, the abruptness and the facial expression (or the lack thereof) and the slack emotion in saying it hinted the sarcasm.
she knew.
i just hope this does not take away that simplicity in nature and caring vulnerability in our muchloved housemate .
nevertheless, she’s smart, talented and greatly admired by people who do not get sucked into the make-believe of reality tv…because of that, she’s got a great future ahead of her.
and no, not even losing to big brother’s uncanny way of catapulting people to famedom can scare us dionne-fanatics away.
